VimaVima (Step-by-Step) Center was founded in September 2019 by physiotherapist Eleftheria Bakalidou and its main focus is on infant, child and adolescent physiotherapy.

Motivated by the need for optimal treatment for children through a holistic therapeutical approach, we have included Therapeutic riding-hippotherapy in our services.

Our team consists of health professionals qualified in hippotherapy in accordance with the Hippo Kinesio-Educational Rehabilitation (Hi.K.E.R.) approach.

Our experience and expertise are based on pediatric and neurological rehabilitation and we apply fundamental therapeutical principles of the following methods: Bobath and sensory integration (S.I)

The participants in the session are: The horse, the person receiving therapy, two therapists and the horse handler.

The two therapists contribute to the safety of the person under treatment and the smooth implementation of the programme.
